Kakinada witnessed a powerful display of community commitment on Sunday as students, police personnel, and employees from the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) joined forces for a spirited walkathon. This event, a highlight of Vigilance Awareness Week 2025, aimed to foster greater public safety and a strong stance against corruption.
The initiative saw enthusiastic participation, including the families of ONGC employees, all coming together for a common cause. The walkathon was officially inaugurated by Prabal Sengupta, ONGC Eastern Offshore Asset Manager for Kakinada, alongside K. Somasekhar, who oversees Vigilance efforts.
Starting from Rayudupalem and concluding at the Nagamalli Thota junction, the route buzzed with energy. During his address to the diverse group of participants, Mr. Sengupta underscored a crucial message: vigilance isn’t merely an organizational task. Instead, he emphasized it’s a fundamental responsibility shared by every individual, forming the bedrock for cultivating a society free from corruption and steeped in transparency.
