Netflix Unveils Sequel: ‘Raat Akeli Hai: The Bansal Murders’ to Premiere at IFFI Goa

Get ready for more thrilling mystery! Netflix has officially announced the sequel to its acclaimed crime thriller, Raat Akeli Hai. Titled Raat Akeli Hai: The Bansal Murders, this second installment sees the talented Honey Trehan returning to direct, with Smita Singh once again crafting the gripping screenplay.

The film, brought to life by RSVP and MacGuffin Pictures, features the much-anticipated comeback of Nawazuddin Siddiqui in his iconic role as the astute and relentless Inspector Jatil Yadav. He’s joined by an impressive ensemble cast, including Chitrangada Singh, Rajat Kapoor, Deepti Naval, Ila Arun, Revathy, Akhilendra Mishra, Priyanka Setia, Sanjay Kapoor, and Radhika Apte.

Picking up a few years after the original 2020 film, which received widespread positive reviews, Raat Akeli Hai: The Bansal Murders plunges Inspector Jatil Yadav into another intricate and chilling investigation. This time, a brutal cold-blooded murder forces him to uncover deeply buried secrets within a powerful and influential family. As the complex mystery unfolds, Jatil must once again navigate the delicate lines between truth, justice, and the consequences of uncovering dark pasts.

Fans will get a first look at the new Netflix film at its world premiere during the 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa this November, ahead of its official release.
