Mastering the Springfield Challenge: Your Complete Guide to Fortnite’s Simpsons Season Quests

Reading Time: 11 min

Springfield has taken over Fortnite Battle Royale, transforming the island into a vibrant, cel-shaded playground straight out of The Simpsons. This new season is packed with references to the beloved sitcom and offers plenty of opportunities to earn a significant amount of XP for your Simpsons-themed battle pass.

Unlike previous seasons, many of these quests offer less hand-holding, sometimes revealing themselves only after you’ve completed them. But don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! Below, you’ll find a complete breakdown and explanations for all of Fortnite’s new Simpsons quests.

How to Complete the Fortnite x Simpsons Nuclear Power Plant Event

When the storm circle encroaches upon the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant, it triggers a meltdown event. If you’re present, an icon will direct you to the plant’s control room. Here, you’ll need to input a sequence using three buttons—Eenie, Meenie, and Minie—to prevent disaster and claim some fantastic loot. The button sequence is randomized for each match, but you can always find the correct code displayed on posters scattered around the plant. Following these posters will successfully complete the event.

These randomized posters will tell you the code sequence for each match.

Fortnite x Simpsons Hidden Gags Quests

This season introduces a new milestone quest: find 12 "hidden gags" across the island, with no further instructions provided in-game. Each of these unique tasks grants 5,000 XP upon first completion, and successfully finding all 12 awards an additional 20,000 XP. Some of these quests also reward you with loot stashes and gold. Here’s how to complete them:

Knock the Jebediah Springfield statue’s head off

Head to the Springfield Town Square. Damage the statue of Jebediah Springfield with your pickaxe or by shooting it to detach its head. You can then wear the head, which will shield you from the next headshot taken from an enemy.

Spray Springfield with El Barto tags

In various named locations, look for walls marked with a spraycan icon. Open your emote wheel next to one of these walls and use the "El Barto" spray to complete this quest.

Step on a rake

Leaf rakes are scattered across grassy areas throughout the map. Simply step on one to trigger the classic gag where the handle springs up and hits you in the face.

Release the hounds

Inside Mayor Burns’ office at Burns Manor, locate a large red button on the central wooden desk. Pressing it will release several Dober Man NPCs, who will engage any hostile players in the vicinity.

Dislodge the Lard Lad donut

In the Donut District, damage the Lard Lad statue until its giant donut falls off. The donut then becomes a physics object that can destroy structures and cause other mayhem.

Prank call Moe

Many major locations feature ringing payphones. Interact with one to have Bart prank call Moe, earning you some gold.

Bring the Haw Haw humiliation

Defeating any boss NPC (Witch Marge, Evil Homer, or Krusty the Clown) will cause Nelson to appear and deliver his signature "Haw Haw!" laugh, completing this quest. Bosses spawn randomly near named locations.

Find Mr. Sparkle

Locate this cleaning solution under a pile of dirt in the corner of the Tire Fire area, situated just south of Evergreen Terrace.

Jump the Springfield Gorge

East of Evergreen Terrace, you’ll find a large gorge with a dirt ramp nearby. Jump across the gorge, passing through the hovering hoop, to complete the quest. While a vehicle is the most obvious choice, Shockwave Grenades, Super Squishees, or Blinky fish can also help you make the jump on foot.

You can your squad can watch TV on the Simpsons' couch.

Sit on the Simpsons’ couch

The iconic Simpsons family home is at the center of Evergreen Terrace, easily identifiable by the Marge NPC. Interact with the living room couch to complete this quest.

Eat a Steamed Ham

While at the Simpsons’ house, check the dining room for a platter of steamed ham sandwiches. These platters also appear in restaurants and other homes. If the Simpsons’ house is empty, try Ned Flanders’ house next door.

Catch Blinky

This quest requires you to catch a fish using a fishing rod. Most rivers on the island aren’t suitable for fishing; instead, look for swirling fishing spots in the lake next to Kamp Krusty or in the ocean surrounding the island. Catching one Blinky fish will do the trick.

Fortnite X Simpsons Story Quests – Apocalypse D’oh

The "Apocalypse D’oh" quests are the first stage of this season’s story. While these quests don’t award XP individually, you’ll receive a bonus 30,000 XP for every three story or found quests you complete, up to a total of 30 quests. You must complete these quests in order. This specific set of story quests will only be available until November 10th before being replaced by the next wave.

Visit three named locations

This quest is straightforward: simply visit any three different named locations across multiple matches.

Destroy five of Homer’s signs

Many named locations feature humorous signs placed by Homer, such as "go" signs instead of "stop." Destroy five of these signs, which are marked on your UI with an exclamation point.

Emote near a boss NPC

Find one of the boss NPCs—Witch Marge, Evil Homer, or Krusty the Clown—who randomly spawn in named locations, then perform an emote when you’re close. Be quick, as they might start shooting!

Do 250 damage to bosses

After emoting, engage the boss and deal 250 damage to advance to the next stage.

Convince Homer to give up the power

The Homer NPC resides at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant. Interact with him and select the marked quest dialogue related to the Zero Point shard he discovered.

Visit Town Hall to voice your concerns

Homer tasks you with lobbying on his behalf. Head to Springfield Town Hall in Corruption Corners. You’ll have 90 seconds to destroy 25 objects before the police arrive and arrest you – plenty of time to cause some mayhem.

Find a Squishee

Homer also wants a Super Squishee. Find one from any source, including treasure chests or Squishee machines found in every Kwik-E-Mart around the island. These machines allow you to buy three Squishees for 300 gold.

Deliver it to Homer

You must deliver the Super Squishee to Homer via a specific route marked by checkpoint hoops. Taking any other path directly to him won’t count. You have four minutes from the moment you enter a Kwik-E-Mart or pick up a Squishee to complete this quest, or you’ll have to restart this stage.

Enter the Simpsons house and inspect different remotes

Homer is being stubborn, so you need to investigate his plans by visiting the Simpsons’ home in Evergreen Terrace. Once inside, inspect five remote controls scattered around the house, which will be marked with exclamation points.

Confront Homer

The final step is to talk to Homer again at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant. Click through the quest dialogue to complete this stage.

Return to Hope

Finally, visit the NPC Hope at the donut shop in Donut District and click through her quest dialogue to complete the first wave of story quests for Fortnite’s Simpsons season.

Fortnite x Simpsons Lost and Found Quests

Lost and Found quests come from these objects that sometimes pop out of chests.
Lost and Found quests sometimes drop from chests.

These quests won’t appear in your main menu; instead, they randomly drop from treasure chests and ammo boxes, or can be received from NPCs like Homer, Marge, Lisa, and Bart. These repeatable quests reward high-quality loot and 1,000 XP each. Remember, completing every three found or story quests also grants 30,000 XP, up to 30 total.

Currently, there are four types of Lost and Found quests, each corresponding to a member of the Simpson family:

Marge’s Lost and Found quests

Marge’s quests involve collecting specific items, either multiple of the same item or items of a certain rarity (e.g., three uncommon green items).

Homer’s Lost and Found quests

Homer wants you to drive a certain distance in a vehicle. Simply find a car and start cruising!

Lisa’s Lost and Found quests

Lisa will ask you to find her lost textbooks, which are randomly scattered around the nearest named location. Look for exclamation points on your mini-map to pinpoint their whereabouts.

Bart’s Lost and Found quests

Bart’s quests are all about destruction – either damaging enemies or breaking environmental objects.

Kickstart Quests

These season-long Kickstart quests are designed to familiarize you with the new mechanics introduced in Fortnite’s Simpsons season. They are relatively simple and each rewards 30,000 XP.

Visit the Simpsons house

The iconic Simpsons house is in the center of Evergreen Terrace, on the east side of the main square. Simply enter it to complete this quest.

Defeat two bosses or elite guards

You can find the three boss NPCs (Evil Homer, Witch Marge, Krusty the Clown) randomly spawning in named locations. Alternatively, Dober Man guards can be found near KBBL Radio Towers or summoned by pressing the red button on the desk in Burns Manor. Defeat any two of these formidable foes.

Raise the flag at Kamp Krusty

Capture the control point at Kamp Krusty, which features a "Camp Bart" flag, to complete this objective.

Secure KBBL Radio Towers two times

These radio towers now function as storm forecast towers. Defeat the Dober Man guards, collect the keycard they drop, and deliver it to the radio tower for a weather forecast. Repeat this process twice.

Damage opponents with Mr. Blasty (1,000 points of damage)

Mr. Blasty is a new revolver available in the season’s loot pool. Simply deal 1,000 points of damage to opponents with it. Bosses and other NPC enemies also count towards this total.

Damage Dober Men (300 points of damage)

Dober Man guards are found at KBBL Radio Towers and can be spawned in Burns Manor. Deal 300 points of damage to them.

Search Mr. Burns Mystery Boxes

This season introduces question mark-covered boxes with enhanced loot, replacing the standard blue chests. Search two of these Mr. Burns Mystery Boxes.

Travel distance while sprinting under the effects of Super Squishee

Consuming a Super Squishee (purchasable from any Kwik-E-Mart) grants unlimited sprint, low gravity, and increased sprint speed for a limited duration. Sprint for 250 meters while under this effect. Note that airborne distance does not count.

Use the Zero Point dash four times after consuming a Blinky Fish

Eating a Blinky fish grants you a temporary dash ability. Press the jump button while airborne to dash in any direction. Complete four dashes to finish this quest.

Complete a Lost and Found quest

Successfully complete any one of the Lost and Found quests detailed in the section above to mark this off your list.
