During a roadshow in Dumraon, Bihar, for the upcoming assembly elections, BJP leader Manoj Tiwari alleged that his convoy was targeted by Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supporters. Tiwari claimed that the incident occurred near the Brahm Baba site, where individuals chanted RJD slogans and attempted to install their party flag on his vehicle.
To avoid escalation, Tiwari stated that his convoy sped away. He criticized the RJD’s actions, terming it ‘thuggery’ and questioned such behavior during election campaigns. He further alleged that his vehicle was hit with sticks and abusive language was used.
Tiwari has lodged a complaint with the Superintendent of Police and has appealed to the Election Commission and Mahagathbandhan leaders to take strict action against those responsible.
Reacting to the incident, Delhi Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh criticized the RJD, reiterating the ‘jungle raj’ jibe and accusing the party of aiming to create chaos. He emphasized that such actions reflect the RJD’s frustration and anger when facing electoral challenges.
Tiwari is a prominent campaigner for the BJP in Bihar, alongside other celebrity politicians like Ravi Kishan and Dinesh Lal Yadav ‘Nirahua’. The Bihar Assembly elections are scheduled for November 6 and November 11, with vote counting on November 14.
