KSET 2025 Exam Today: Key Guidelines from KEA on Reporting Time, Dress Code, and Prohibited Items

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) is all set to conduct the KSET 2025 examination today, Sunday, November 2, 2025. The exam is scheduled to take place over three hours, from 10 AM to 1 PM, and will feature two papers. Both papers will be in an objective, multiple-choice format, with Paper I carrying 100 marks and Paper II worth 200 marks.

Candidates preparing to take the Karnataka State Assistant Professor Eligibility Test are strongly advised to familiarize themselves with the official guidelines to ensure a smooth experience and avoid any last-minute issues.

**Important Guidelines for Candidates:**

**Reporting Time and OMR Sheet Procedures:**
* Entry to the examination center begins at 8:30 AM. Candidates will be permitted entry to the exam hall only after presenting their admit card and a valid identity card, and taking their assigned seats.
* Supervisors will verify the admit card and candidate photographs. Invigilators will distribute the OMR sheets for both Paper 1 and Paper 2. It is essential for candidates to accurately write their names and roll numbers on the OMR sheets and carefully fill in the corresponding circles.
* Candidates will not be permitted to leave the examination hall until the final bell.

**Dress Code:**

* **For Male Candidates:**
* Half-sleeved shirts are mandatory; full sleeves are not allowed.
* Shirts without collars are preferred.
* Trousers with minimal or no pockets are recommended. Jeans, kurta-pyjamas are prohibited.
* Clothing should be light, without elaborate embroidery, large buttons, or zips.
* Shoes are strictly forbidden. Candidates should opt for sandals or flat slippers.
* Avoid wearing any metal jewelry, including necklaces, earrings, rings, or bracelets.

* **For Female Candidates:**
* Avoid clothing with elaborate embroidery, flowers, brooches, or large buttons.
* Full-sleeved clothes and jeans are not permitted; half-sleeved attire is required.
* High-heeled footwear is prohibited. Candidates must wear flat-soled slippers or sandals.
* Metal jewelry is not allowed, with the exception of a mangalsutra and toe rings.

**Prohibited Items Checklist:**

* **Not Allowed:** Electronic devices such as mobile phones, pen drives, earphones, microphones, wallets, goggles, Bluetooth devices, calculators, and wristwatches.
* **Food Items:** Edible items are not permitted inside the examination hall.
* **Water Bottles:** Only transparent drinking water bottles are allowed. Drinking water will be available at the center.
* **Stationery:** Pencils, paper, scales, erasers, geometry boxes, and log tables are prohibited.
* **Headwear:** Caps or hats are not allowed inside the exam hall.
* **Masks:** Masks covering the face and ears must not be worn.

**Allowed Items:**

* Candidates must carry their admit card.
* A valid government-issued photo identity card is required.
* A blue or black ballpoint pen for marking answers.
