Kadapa MLA and Government Whip, Reddeppagari Madhavi Reddy, has announced a decisive plan to tackle the city’s persistent traffic problems, aiming to create safer roads for both drivers and pedestrians.
During a ceremony on Monday where she laid the foundation stone for new traffic signals, Ms. Reddy highlighted the critical need for these installations. The project, funded by NCAP with an investment of ₹1.13 crore, is designed to regulate the city’s ever-increasing traffic flow effectively.
“I am confident that these new traffic signals will significantly streamline traffic and contribute to the State government’s broader objective of ensuring safer roads for all residents,” she stated.
Ms. Madhavi urged Kadapa Municipal Corporation (KMC) Commissioner Manoj Reddy to accelerate the project’s timeline, emphasizing the importance of getting the new signals operational as quickly as possible.
Also in attendance at the event were Circle Inspector (Traffic) Javed and Mansoor Ali Khan, the city unit president of the TDP.
