The Indo-Gulf Middle East Chamber of Commerce (INMECC), a prominent organization for industrialists and professionals, is establishing a new base in Palakkad. Their focus is on harnessing the promising opportunities within the Kochi-Bengaluru Industrial Corridor, a major development project led by the Kerala Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (KICDC).
At its core, INMECC strives to cultivate stronger economic, industrial, commercial, and cultural relationships between India and nations across West Asia.
Recently, the Kerala chapter of INMECC convened a meeting with influential industrial leaders from Palakkad. During this gathering, a key decision was made to honor micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and non-resident Indians (NRIs) who have achieved significant milestones in their respective sectors.

“We are committed to recognizing the MSMEs and NRIs who have achieved remarkable success within Palakkad’s vibrant industrial landscape,” affirmed Younus Ahamed, INMECC’s newly appointed secretary.
The meeting was hosted by INMECC vice-chairman Siddique Ahmed and presided over by Chairman N.M. Sharafudheen. Notable speakers who addressed the attendees included K.P. Khalid, CEO of Cutie group; Vilambath Raveendran, CEO of Sinicon; Viswanath N. Subramanian, managing director of Athachi group; Jayasankar T.C., managing director of Jayon Implants; and Mohammed Kassim, a former DySP.
During the proceedings, C. Unnikrishnan was formally elected as INMECC’s president, with Younus Ahamed taking on the role of secretary. P.B. Bose was appointed vice-president, and Majeed Abdullah became the joint secretary. The newly formed managing committee includes Shaji Joseph, Anil Kumar, Shanto Jose, and Mohammed Basheer K.
INMECC boasts active chapters across several Indian states, including Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, and Delhi, and extends its international reach to the UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait.
