This November, Hyderabad is buzzing with excitement as the prestigious Qadir Ali Baig Theatre Festival gears up for its landmark 20th edition. Presented in partnership with Telangana Tourism and the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), this much-anticipated cultural event will unfold from November 7 to 30, taking over various iconic venues across the city.
Under the meticulous curation of Mohammad Ali Baig, the annual festival continues its tradition of honoring his father’s profound legacy in Indian theatre. Audiences can look forward to a diverse program of performances and captivating screenings hosted at celebrated locations like Taramati Baradari, the State Art Gallery, Shilparamam, and the luxurious Radisson Blu Plaza.
The 2025 festival will kick off at Radisson Blu Plaza with an impressive lineup of film screenings. Attendees will have the chance to see OutHouse, starring luminaries such as Sharmila Tagore, Mohan Agashe, and Sonali Kulkarni. Also on the bill are B. Narsing Rao’s Matti Manshulu, featuring Moin Ali Baig and Neena Gupta, and Ananya Kasaravalli’s thought-provoking film, Harikatha Prasanga.
Veteran actor Sharmila Tagore expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “I am absolutely thrilled that the Qadir Ali Baig Theatre Festival is commencing with a film in which I had the leading role.”
