The core mission of the NSMC is to familiarize students with competitive examination structures much earlier in their academic journey, breaking away from the traditional Class XI or XII introduction. The NSMC 2025 will feature a Computer-Based Test (CBT) format, a concise 60-minute examination comprising 40 engaging Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The scoring system rewards correct answers with +4 points and deducts 1 point for incorrect responses, encouraging thoughtful participation.
The curriculum is tailored to different age groups: students in Classes V, VI, and VII will tackle 16 questions each in Science and Mathematics, complemented by eight questions focused on Mental Ability. For older students in Classes VIII, IX, and X, the assessment will cover Physics (eight questions), Chemistry (eight questions), Mathematics (16 questions), and Biology (eight questions), providing a comprehensive evaluation of their scientific and mathematical prowess.
Beyond the valuable learning experience, the championship boasts an impressive total cash prize pool of ₹2.5 lakh, with the top performer taking home a grand prize of ₹15,000. Additionally, scholarships valued at a remarkable ₹10 lakh are up for grabs for outstanding participants. Every single student who takes part will also receive a certificate, recognizing their effort and participation.
