Fabex Steel Structures, a prominent Hyderabad-based company, has officially opened a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Chityal, Hyderabad. This significant investment of ₹120 crore marks a major milestone for the firm and the region.
This new 40-acre plant is dedicated to producing cutting-edge pre-engineered buildings (PEB) and advanced structural steel solutions. With an impressive capacity of 50,000 tonnes, it effectively doubles the company’s total production capabilities to 100,000 tonnes. Fabex already operates a successful plant in Vijayawada, serving both local and international markets. The company further revealed plans to infuse an additional ₹100 crore over the next two to three years. This follow-up investment aims to bolster manufacturing processes, introduce automation, boost output, and diversify their product offerings. The Chityal unit is specifically designed to meet the growing demand for industrial applications, including modern factories, extensive warehouses, and essential logistics infrastructure.
Venu Chava, co-founder and Managing Director, emphasized the strategic importance of the ₹100 crore follow-on investment, stating it will be critical for “automation, throughput enhancement and product diversification.” He highlighted that with a formidable combined capacity of 100,000 tonnes, Fabex is well-positioned to handle large-scale, multi-site PEB projects and provide end-to-end design-to-installation services across India and abroad. Co-founder and CEO I V Ramana Raju added that the company is actively exploring diversification into new market segments.
In the fiscal year 2024-25, Fabex reported a robust revenue of ₹463 crore. Currently employing 400 individuals, the company projects a substantial increase in its workforce, aiming to reach 800 employees as operations at the new facility scale up. Looking ahead, Fabex has set an ambitious target of achieving ₹1,000 crore in revenue within the next three years, underscoring its rapid growth trajectory and market confidence.
