In a significant move to enhance consumer satisfaction and streamline grievance redressal, the Andhra Pradesh Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (APSPDCL) has rolled out its brand-new ‘Dial Your CMD’ program. This initiative empowers power consumers across nine districts to connect directly with Chairman and Managing Director L. Sivasankar every Monday, between 10 a.m. and 12 noon, to voice their concerns and seek immediate solutions.
The inaugural session of the program was met with enthusiastic participation, seeing 87 consumers reach out to discuss a range of power supply issues. Following this successful launch, Mr. Sivasankar announced that dedicated nodal officers would be appointed in each of the nine districts served by APSPDCL. These districts include Tirupati, Chittoor, Nellore, Kadapa, Annamayya, Kurnool, Nandyal, Anantapur, and Sri Sathya Sai. The nodal officers’ primary role will be to meticulously address individual complaints and ensure their swift and effective resolution.
Consumers utilized this direct channel to highlight pressing problems, such as delays in sanctioning agricultural power connections, the hazardous presence of power lines crossing residential or school properties, the urgent need for replacement of burnt or stolen transformers, and persistent low-voltage issues that often lead to damage of electrical appliances. APSPDCL’s ‘Dial Your CMD’ program aims to foster greater transparency and accountability, ensuring that consumer voices are heard and acted upon promptly by the highest authority.
