Great news for aspiring candidates! The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially announced the start of the Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination (CHSLE) 2025 Tier 1. The computer-based test (CBT) is scheduled to begin on November 12, 2025, marking an important date for thousands of applicants.
In an effort to significantly improve the examination experience and offer greater flexibility, the SSC is rolling out a brand-new self-slot selection feature. This means that for the CHSLE 2025 Tier 1 exam, you’ll have the power to choose your ideal exam city, date, and even your preferred time slot!
Your Window to Choose: October 22 to October 28
Mark your calendars! The dedicated self-slot selection portal will be open for a limited period, from October 22 to October 28, 2025. To utilize this convenient feature, simply log in to your official SSC candidate portal using your unique credentials.
Once logged in, you can choose from the three cities you initially listed in your application. The portal will then present you with all available dates and shifts within those chosen cities. This allows you to pick the slot that best fits your schedule and travel plans.
What if Your Preferred City is Full?
Should all slots in your top three preferred cities be taken, don’t worry! The system is designed to automatically offer you alternative cities where seats are still available. While the SSC will do its best to accommodate, please note that in these alternative cities, you won’t have the option to choose a specific date or shift; the allotment will be made on a best-effort basis.
A quick heads-up: candidates who have opted for regional language mediums for their examination might find a more limited selection of available shifts and dates.
Selections Are Final: No Changes Allowed
The SSC strongly advises all candidates to make their selections with utmost care. Once your preferred slot is chosen and submitted, the Commission will not entertain any requests for changes in date, city, or shift. Your final allotment will be based entirely on the choices you make during this selection window.
Missed the Window? What Happens Next
It’s crucial to act within the specified timeframe. If you do not utilize the self-slot selection facility before the deadline, the SSC will interpret this as an unwillingness to appear for the CHSLE 2025 examination, and you may forfeit your chance to sit for the test.
Comprehensive Guide to Help You
To ensure a smooth and hassle-free selection process, the SSC will publish a detailed, self-explanatory guidance document. This resource will include step-by-step instructions, complete with screenshots, and will be readily available on the official candidate portal.
