Overnight, a series of Israeli military strikes descended upon the Gaza Strip, leading to the tragic deaths of at least 60 people, according to local hospital authorities on Wednesday, October 29, 2025. A significant number of the victims were innocent children.
These devastating attacks were reportedly carried out after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu instructed the military to execute ‘powerful strikes’ across Gaza. This directive came in response to what Israel described as violations of a previously established, delicate ceasefire by Hamas.
Medical facilities in Gaza quickly became overwhelmed with casualties. The Aqsa Hospital in Deir al-Balah, a central city, reported receiving at least 10 bodies overnight, including three women and six children, following two distinct Israeli airstrikes in their vicinity. Further south, Khan Younis’ Nasser Hospital confirmed that 20 bodies arrived after five separate Israeli strikes in its area, among them were 13 children and two women. Another 30 bodies, 14 of whom were children, were brought to Al-Awda Hospital in central Gaza.
