Starting November 4, OpenAI is making its ChatGPT Go plan available to users across India completely free of charge for the next year. This exciting offer is already live, granting Indian users access to advanced ChatGPT features without any subscription fees.
This decision highlights OpenAI’s increasing attention to India, which is recognized as one of its largest and fastest-growing markets globally. Previously, ChatGPT Go was priced at ₹399 per month, positioning it as an intermediate option between the standard free version and the premium ChatGPT Pro.
Nick Turley, OpenAI’s vice president and head of ChatGPT, stated, “Ahead of our first DevDay Exchange event in India, we’re making ChatGPT Go freely available for a year to help more people across India easily access and benefit from advanced AI. We’re excited to see the amazing things our users will build, learn, and achieve with these tools.”
**Benefits of ChatGPT Go:**
ChatGPT Go is designed as a cost-effective subscription that unlocks expanded access to ChatGPT’s most popular features. Now, for one year, these benefits are available at no cost.
Users can expect faster responses and more intelligent AI outputs, along with significantly higher usage limits compared to the basic version. Subscribers will also benefit from the ability to engage in longer conversations, analyze or summarize documents, and generate images.
Nick Turley further elaborated on X, “We just launched ChatGPT Go in India, a new subscription tier that gives users in India more access to our most popular features: 10x higher message limits, 10x more image generations, 10x more file uploads, and 2x longer memory compared with our free tier. All for Rs. 399.”
**How to Subscribe:**
Existing ChatGPT Go subscribers in India will be automatically upgraded to the 12-month free plan.
To claim this offer, Indian users simply need to sign up or log in to their ChatGPT account via the website or the mobile app. Once logged in, the ChatGPT Go subscription will be available to them free of charge.
