Following a devastating road accident near Chevella in Telangana’s Rangareddy district that resulted in 19 fatalities and left 22 individuals injured, the production teams for upcoming films starring prominent actors Balakrishna and Naga Chaitanya have announced a postponement of their scheduled updates.
In a show of solidarity and respect for the victims, the team behind Naga Chaitanya’s film, NC24, directed by Karthik Dandu, released a statement on social media expressing their deep sorrow. The note conveyed heartfelt condolences to the affected families and offered prayers for the speedy recovery of those injured. Consequently, the planned reveal of actress Meenakshi Chaudhary’s character poster has been deferred to the following day.
Similarly, Balakrishna’s film, NBK111, directed by Gopichand Malineni, has also postponed its planned announcement regarding the female lead. The production team extended their deepest sympathies and prayers to the families impacted by the tragedy.
Director Anil Ravipudi also shared his condolences for the victims of the Chevella accident on social media. The circumstances of the accident, involving a head-on collision between a tipper lorry carrying gravel and a public transport bus, are currently under investigation by the Cyberabad Police. Officials are working to determine the exact cause, which may involve one of the vehicles being on the wrong side of the road.
