In a significant boost for law enforcement in Andhra Pradesh, Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha officially inaugurated the new Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) office in Thullur, Amaravati, on Tuesday, November 4.
The ceremony saw Minister Anitha joined by a contingent of high-ranking police officials, including Director General of Police (DGP) Harish Kumar Gupta and Guntur Range Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sarvashreshta Tripathi, underscoring the importance of the new facility.
During her address at the event, the Home Minister reiterated the government’s unwavering commitment to providing the police department with all necessary resources and modern facilities. She also made a key announcement, revealing that the government is actively preparing to fill 6,100 new positions within the department in the immediate future, a move expected to significantly strengthen the state’s policing capabilities.
