The Joint Action Committee (JAC) representing contract lecturers in Andhra Pradesh recently expressed profound gratitude to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for his positive response regarding their long-standing demands. These demands include the regularization of their services and the disbursement of pending salaries for lecturers working in government junior, degree, and polytechnic colleges.
JAC chairman K. Suresh and co-chairman K. Srinivas confirmed that the Chief Minister has assured them he will personally review their issues and ensure a fair resolution. The lecturers highlighted that while Act No. 30/2023 was passed and G.O. No. 114 was issued for regularizing contract employees, the process came to an abrupt halt due to the enforcement of the election code.
With the election period now over, the JAC representatives urged Chief Minister Naidu to swiftly restart the regularization process and grant permanent status to the dedicated contract lecturers. Their ongoing advocacy underscores the critical need for stability and fair compensation for educators who have been serving the state’s educational institutions for years.
