During a rally on Sunday, November 2, 2025, Home Minister Amit Shah launched a scathing attack on RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav’s family. Shah warned voters that if Lalu’s son came to power, Bihar would witness the “creation of three new ministries” dedicated to murder, kidnapping, and extortion, painting a grim picture of potential lawlessness.
Contrasting this stark prediction, Shah asserted that an NDA victory would ensure Bihar becomes flood-free. Speaking in Muzaffarpur, he appealed to the public to vote for the NDA, emphasizing that their mandate would prevent a return to the “jungle raj” that characterized the previous RJD administration.
Mr. Shah reiterated the NDA’s commitment to progress, promising that their government would not only initiate a new era of development but also establish a dedicated Ministry to effectively manage and control floods in Bihar.
“If the NDA is voted to power, we will ensure Bihar is completely free from floods. A dedicated Ministry will be established specifically for flood control,” Mr. Shah declared during his Muzaffarpur rally.
He further elaborated on his concerns, stating, “Should Lalu Prasad’s son, Tejashwi, become Bihar’s Chief Minister, expect the establishment of three additional ministries focused on kidnapping, extortion, and murder. Your support for the NDA is crucial to prevent Bihar from relapsing into the RJD’s ‘jungle raj.’ There are clear attempts to reintroduce this era of lawlessness under new leadership.”
Shah also took aim at RJD supremo Lalu Prasad and Congress leader Sonia Gandhi, accusing them of attempting to position their sons as Bihar’s Chief Minister and India’s Prime Minister, respectively. He firmly declared that both positions are currently occupied and not open.
Concluding his address, Mr. Shah highlighted the achievements of Prime Minister Modi, crediting him with making India more secure, safe, and prosperous, while also initiating numerous welfare schemes for the nation’s benefit.
